Ha, “Self-Made”
Forbes saw swift backlash yesterday after releasing its latest cover of Kylie Jenner (of the Kardashian-Jenner clan), where they called her the youngest “self-made” billionaire. For obvious reasons, it’s quite the stretch to say a young woman who came from an already-famous and rich family with endless connections and resources is self-made. The cover, however, is opening up discussions around the culture of the term, not to mention conversations regarding socioeconomic status and American ideals. Read On…
