Newsletter editor Lily here.
Well, I can’t speak for wherever y’all live, but New York City has descended into a bit of a dystopian nightmare in the past 72 hours in particular. There’s no toilet paper in sight at virtually any drugstore or grocery chain, ambulance sirens are constantly wailing as they head to the hospital near my apartment, and a man just yelled at me and a bunch of people in line at the pharmacy because we weren’t standing 12 feet away from him. Ah, New York.
I’m having trouble keeping just myself together during this scary and uncertain time, so I can’t even imagine what all of our Mama Bears are dealing with; I know many of you are trying to figure out the logistics of your work, your home life, your kids, and in many cases, your parents. I’m hoping during this dark period that the articles we share in this newsletter are informative and educational and that you can find solidarity and help in our Chairman Mom threads.
I don’t have much more to say today, other than that we’ll get through this together.
Today’s new questions on Chairman Mom:
- What’s everyone doing/thinking about/planning/considering etc for Covid-19?
- How do I get my at risk elderly parents to take coronavirus seriously?
- Those of you who do homeschool kids or those of you who have had to start… please please give us some tips!
- Best practices or tips for improving internal communication with remote teams?
